Survey report costs and time to complete will vary with the type of survey requested, based on size, ship's equipment and onboard systems. Types of Marine Surveys

  • PRE-PURCHASE SURVEY

  • This is the most comprehensive type of inspection and is strongly advised when purchasing a new or used vessel. Condition and the overall operation of the vessel will be subject to examination. This includes structural integrity, out of the water inspection, electrical systems, propulsion and running gear, machinery, cosmetic appearance, miscellaneous on board systems and overall maintenance.

  • INSURANCE SURVEY

  • APPRAISAL INSPECTION

  • This inspection is performed to gather information to justify or determine the fair market value of the vessel. This is normally needed for financing, estate settlements, donations and legal cases.

  • DAMAGE INSPECTION

  • This inspection is performed to assess the extent of damage, or determine recommended repairs, estimate repair costs and if requested, the probable cause.

  • CONSULTING

  • Field inspection reports, compliance reports, damage assessments, insurance claims, outfitting to include complete refit and systems design.

  • NON-DESTRUCTIVE ULTRASONIC AUDIO GAUGING

  • For steel and aluminum vessels, pleasure and commercial up to 100 tons.
    (Panametrics Ultrasonic Meter with waveform).

  • NON-DESTRUCTIVE THERMAL IMAGING

  • For all vessels and damage investigation, pleasure and commercial.
